Ethical and Responsible Collaboration with Our Cartonboard Suppliers
Sustainability is not just a word to us; it is a commitment that we rigorously fulfill through our relationships with suppliers who understand the importance of responsible forest management.
All the cartons we use are FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified, a guarantee that the materials come from sustainably managed forests. This certification, recognized and supported by environmental organizations, governments and companies worldwide, not only ensures the preservation of natural resources, but also protects biodiversity and the rights of local communities that depend on these forests.
Our suppliers of both virgin and recycled paper operate under FSC and/or PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) certified forest management systems. This level of demand allows us to guarantee that the materials we use at Veganic come from responsible sources, actively supporting the conservation of natural resources and promoting an ethical and sustainable business model.
In addition, by promoting an economic model that fosters the circular economy, we seek to reduce the extraction of natural resources and reduce waste, thus closing the life cycle of products in a more sustainable manner.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring Quality, Safety and Sustainability
Our commitment to sustainability is closely linked to compliance with legal regulations that guarantee the quality and safety of our products. In this regard, we align our practices with the Fertilizer Regulation (EU) 2019/1009, which regulates the marketing of fertilizer products in the European Union. This regulation facilitates and regulates the use of recycled materials and by-products both in the composition of fertilizers and in their packaging.
In addition to this regulation, we ensure that all our paperboard suppliers comply with other key regulations:
- Law 7/2022, of April 8, on waste and contaminated soils for a circular economy, which establishes the bases for waste management in a circular economy framework.
- Royal Decree 1055/2022, of December 27, which regulates the legal regime of packaging and its waste, promoting the reduction of its environmental impact.
- Regulation 1935/2004 of the European Parliament, which ensures that materials intended to come into contact with food do not pose a risk to human health.
- Regulation 2023/2006, which establishes good manufacturing practices for food contact materials, ensuring their safety and quality.
- EUTR Regulation 995/2010, which prohibits the marketing of illegal timber and timber products in the European Union, ensuring that all our materials comply with the laws of origin.
